Key Terms at a Glance
- Educational purpose: Learnverse is designed solely for educational use by students, teachers, and schools.

- Your content: You retain ownership of content you create. We need a licence to host and display it within the Platform.
- Safety first: We expect all users to interact respectfully and follow our acceptable use guidelines.
- Privacy: Your data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which should be read alongside these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Learnverse platform and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Wizar Learning Inc. ("Wizar," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a school, school district, or other organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation, and "you" refers to that organisation.
2. Definitions
- "Platform" or "Service" means the Learnverse AI Literacy platform, including the website, web application, mobile applications, and all related features, content, and services.
- "User" means any individual who accesses the Platform, including Students, Teachers, Parents/Guardians, and Administrators.
- "Student" means a learner who uses the Platform for educational purposes.
- "Teacher" means an educator who uses the Platform to facilitate student learning.
- "Administrator" means a school official or organisation representative who manages accounts and settings.
- "Content" means any curriculum, lessons, activities, quests, assessments, media, and other educational materials provided through the Platform.
- "User Content" means any content created, submitted, or uploaded by Users, including learning portfolio artifacts, responses, and creative outputs.
- "School Agreement" means a separate agreement between Wizar and an educational institution governing institutional use.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
3.1 Age Requirements
- Users aged 13 and above may create individual accounts with their own consent.
- Users under 13 may only use the Platform with verifiable parental or guardian consent, or through a school-managed account where the school provides consent on behalf of families.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate consent.
3.2 Account Creation
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
3.3 School-Created Accounts
Schools and educational institutions may create and manage accounts for their students and teachers. When doing so, the school represents that it has obtained all necessary consents and authorisations from parents/guardians as required by applicable law, including COPPA, GDPR, and PIPEDA.
4. User Roles and Responsibilities

5. Educational Use
The Platform is designed and intended exclusively for educational purposes. All Content has been developed by qualified educators and aligned with international frameworks including the UNESCO AI Competency Framework, OECD guidelines, and recognised learning standards.
You agree to use the Platform solely for its intended educational purpose and not for any commercial, non-educational, or unlawful purpose.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
When using the Platform, you agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any purpose other than education and learning.
- Share your login credentials with others or allow unauthorised access.
- Submit, upload, or share content that is harmful, offensive, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that you are not authorised to access.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform, servers, or networks.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform without our written permission.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform.
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute Content for commercial purposes.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Our Content
All Content, curriculum, software, design, graphics, trademarks, logos, and other materials on the Platform are the property of Wizar Learning Inc. or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of our Content without our written permission.
7.2 Limited Licence to Users
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform and Content for personal, non-commercial, educational purposes in accordance with these Terms. This licence does not include the right to sublicence, sell, or commercially exploit any Content.
8. User-Generated Content
8.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of User Content that you create on the Platform (e.g., portfolio artifacts, creative projects, assessment responses).
8.2 Licence to Wizar
By submitting User Content, you grant Wizar a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. We will not use your User Content for marketing or advertising without your explicit consent.
8.3 Content Moderation
We may review User Content to ensure compliance with our Acceptable Use Policy and to maintain a safe learning environment. We reserve the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms.
9. AI-Powered Features
The Platform incorporates artificial intelligence technologies to enhance the learning experience:
- Adaptive learning: AI personalises content delivery based on student progress.
- Generative AI activities: Certain curriculum modules include AI-powered creative exercises (e.g., AI story writing, image generation, prompt engineering).
- AI guardrails: Safety controls monitor and regulate interactions with AI features to ensure age-appropriate outputs.
You acknowledge that AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies and should be evaluated critically — which is, in fact, a core learning objective of our AI literacy curriculum. AI-generated outputs on the Platform do not constitute professional advice of any kind.
10. Subscription, Pricing, and Payment
10.1 Plans
The Platform may be offered under various plans, including free tiers, individual subscriptions, and institutional licences. Current pricing and plan details are available on our website or through direct enquiry.
10.2 Payment
If you subscribe to a paid plan, you agree to pay all fees in accordance with the billing terms presented at the time of purchase. All payments are non-refundable except as required by law or as specified in a separate School Agreement.
10.3 Changes to Pricing
We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes do not apply to active subscription periods already paid for.
11. School and Institutional Agreements
Schools, school districts, and educational organisations may enter into separate School Agreements with Wizar that govern institutional use of the Platform. Where a School Agreement exists and conflicts with these Terms, the School Agreement takes precedence for users covered by that agreement.
School Agreements typically address: volume licensing, data processing terms, student data privacy obligations, integration requirements, and support levels.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
Key privacy commitments:
- We do not sell user data.
- Children's data is never used for marketing or advertising.
- We comply with GDPR, COPPA, PIPEDA, and other applicable data protection laws.
- Data is processed only for educational purposes.
13. Service Availability and Support
We strive to keep the Platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend service for maintenance, updates, or technical issues. Where possible, we will provide advance notice of planned downtime.
Support is available via support@wizar.io. Schools with institutional agreements may have access to additional support channels as specified in their School Agreement.
14. Disclaimers and Limitations
14.1 Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
14.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Wizar Learning Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or CAD $100, whichever is greater.
14.3 Educational Content
Content on the Platform is provided for educational purposes and does not constitute professional advice. We are not responsible for decisions made based on Platform content.
15. Termination
15.1 By You
You may stop using the Platform at any time. To close your account, contact us at support@wizar.io. Upon account closure, we will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data retention requirements.
15.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy. We will provide notice and an opportunity to cure the violation where practicable, except in cases of serious or repeated violations, or where required for safety reasons.
15.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases. You may request export of your User Content and personal data prior to termination. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution) shall survive.
16. Dispute Resolution
16.1 Informal Resolution
We encourage you to contact us first at legal@wizar.io to resolve any disputes informally. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve your concern within 30 days.
16.2 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
16.3 Jurisdiction
Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to the courts of British Columbia, Canada. However, if you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that provides mandatory consumer protection laws, those laws shall apply to the extent required.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
- For material changes, we will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
- Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
- If you do not agree with the changes, you may close your account before the effective date.
18. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any School Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Wizar regarding your use of the Platform.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or internet disruptions.
